About us

We run the workshop, and you keep the proof

IDS Training Portal delivers hands-on engineering training with partner colleges — blockchain, cyber security, and web and platform engineering. What makes it unusual is not the syllabus. It is that every certificate is issued as a verifiable credential into the learner’s own wallet, so its worth does not depend on us still being here to confirm it.

What we believe

Four decisions that shaped the platform

Each of these is visible in how the product behaves, not just in how it is described.

The learner owns the proof

A certificate that only exists in our database is one we can lose, revoke by accident, or take offline. Issuing to a wallet moves it out of our custody and into the learner's — which is where it belongs.

Colleges are the route in

We do not sell seats to individuals. A department decides its students need a topic, and we deliver it to that cohort. That keeps the teaching aimed at a real group rather than an audience.

Attendance has to mean something

Attendance is recorded per day, not per workshop, and a certificate requires clearing a threshold the organiser sets. A credential everyone gets for showing up once is not worth verifying.

Build it, then explain it

Every workshop is hands-on, and the browser playground exists so an idea can be tried the moment it is raised rather than promised as homework nobody does.

End to end

How a programme actually runs

  1. A college schedules a workshop

An organiser picks the course, the dates, the delivery mode and the seat count. That creates the workshop and exactly one activation code for it.

  2. The cohort redeems the code

The coordinator shares the code with the group. Each learner creates an account, redeems it once, and the workshop joins their dashboard with the full schedule.

  3. Attendance is taken per day

Each day of the workshop is its own session, marked separately. A learner who attends throughout is recorded differently from one who appears on day one.

  4. Credentials are issued

Badges unlock automatically against their rules. Certificates unlock once the attendance bar is cleared and an admin releases them — then a QR moves each one into the learner's wallet.

Workshops are arranged with a college, not booked from a page — so the fastest route in is simply telling us what you need.

Partnerships

Your department wants a workshop run for its students. Tell us the topic, the rough cohort size and when.

Learner support

An activation code that will not redeem, a sign-in that will not complete, or a credential that has not arrived.

Everything else

Press, careers, or a question that does not fit either of the above.

Send us the details

The more concrete the better — a topic, a rough number of students and a term is enough for us to come back with a real answer rather than a brochure.

Already have an activation code?

You do not need us for that. Create an account and redeem it on your dashboard — the workshop appears straight away.
